A History Of Violence
By Bud "The Man" Shurwalter; 11/4/05
Silence the Violence has been apart of NCW as long as I can remember reporting for the fledging promotion, as I came onboard in Janurary 1999 just in time for the first StV in Seekonk MA. Sad to say there was nothing too memorable about the event, save for the evening's Main Event when Triplelicious with new manager JC Marxxx took on the NCW Heavyweight Champion Richard Pacifico in a No DQ Match for the Title. Trip used Marxxx to his advantage, and in the end Trip used his "H-Cubed" to finish off "The Enforcer".
The second version of the event happened on March 5th, 2000 from the Knights of Columbous Hall in North Providence, RI in what has been called the dawning of the new "NCW Era" for the majority of the NCW crew. Many began training under the influence of The Damned, helping bring credibility to the young talent. On this show JC Marxxx's Zero Tolerance group made a huge impact, with Founder Marxxx securing Mad Dog & Draven as his Executive Security while a man named John Pimentel rechristened himself "The Portuguese Sensation" Ruy Batello while helping Triplelicious defeat Pacifico in a homage to their original No DQ Match at the first Silence the Violence. In the Main Event NCW Heavyweight Champion "Big Poppa Drunk" Sean O'Callahan defended his Title against the up and coming "Revolution" Chris Venom, who had recently broke out of his PYCW clique and struck out on his own. Unfortunately we never got to find out who the better man was as after Venom samoan dropped the nearly 400lbs Champion, The Damned arrived on the scene and attacked both men drawing a Disqualification. Then in the single sickest act in the history of NCW, The Damned brought NCW Commissioner Scotty Angel into the ring from his wheelchair and beat him viciously finishing him off with a Draven headbutt while the show ended with JC Marxxx riding around in Angel's empty wheelchair.
On February 3rd, 2001 NCW held it's last event at the Seekonk American Legion Post with Silence the Violence III on the eve of NCW's fourth anniversary show in Natick MA. This event helped establish so much heading into Natick, and was a memorable night for the Seekonk fans. On this night history was made when Moco defeated both MTE & Ruy Batello to win the NCW Tag Team Titles by himself after the Titles had been handed to them by The Divine Legacy. This show would also mark the final match for the former NCW Champion Richmond Black, who pulled a fast one on JC Marxxx after "accepting" membership back into Zero Tolerance, only to turn on him at the end of the evening in his "Zero Tolerance Death Match" against Sean O'Callahan. New England Champion Tim Kilgore had been on a roll coming into StV III, and the cocky and brash Champion interrupted the one year anniversary of The Damned only to mock his trainersand question their respect towards Kilgore. Mad Dog was forced to teach his pupil a lesson, and seemingly won the NCW New England Titleonly to have the decision overturned since it wasn't a sanctioned Match. A tired Kilgore then had to face his scheduled opponent, as Mad Dog brought out KL Murphy for HIS Title opportunity. In the end Murphy won with a simple small package, kicking off an epic NCW feud. After orchestrating the breakup of The Elements of Suicide, "Revolution" Chris Venom was forced into facing Onyx one on one for the NCW Title, and in a surprise Onyx nearly walked away NCW Heavyweight Champion until interference from his old tag team partner Cinna cost him the Match.
NCW returned to Rhode Island with a bang for Silence the Violence IV when "Toxic" Tommy Knoxville challenged Tim Kilgore for the NCW Heavyweight Title. The show at the Bristol VFW Hall also markes a new era for the NCW roster, as everyone stepped up there game to the next level for the Bristol crowd. Before a packed house Bristol native Blade made his NCW return alongside "The Full Effect" Mike Paiva as Emerald Fuzion, taking on the team of Chris Venom & Triplelicious. Despite losing, Blade & Paiva immeadiately made an impact establishing themselves as one of the best new tag teams in NCW. MTE & Ruy Batello also continued their rise as two of the most popular wrestlers in NCW, battling the Tag Team Champions The Elements of Suicide.
On January 7th Dedham MA helps continue the legacy of Silence the Violence when it returns to the Dedham VFW Post, promising more of the same. Hopefully someday we'll finally be able to silence that violence.
Dedham Loves NCW
By TheNCWOnline; 11/4/05
The Dedham Press was very interested in Northeast Championship Wrestling upon hearing that NCW was debuting at the Dedham VFW Post on October 8th. Geoff Mosher of The Dedham Transcript sat down with NCW official Michael R. Giusti the day before NO FEAR, giving the reporter a taste of what exactly NCW is all about.

A Look At NCW NO FEAR
By Bud "The Man" Shurwalter; 10/4/05
Despite the stormy weather, fans jampacked the Dedham VFW Hall for a night of good action and fun times. Everyone at NCW would like to thank the fans that came out and made the show that much more memorable.
In the opener, the returning Osirus took on Bryce Andrews who had his new ally Rocco "The Strangler" Abruzzi in his corner. Despite Rocco being at ringside, Osirus still made a strong showing, forcing the debuting Andrews to tap out.
The former 3 time NCW Heavyweight Champion Pacifico made his NCW return at NO FEAR, and in what can only be considered an upset, was totally dominated by the rookie Davey Loomis, who stretched him out with his "Banana Split" submission for the win.
Ring Announcer Mike Pierce got word from the back that Loomis had picked up the shortest victory in NCW history, delighting the crowd. An upset Rocco Abruzzi returned to the ring and began mocking Loomis for his amateur credentials, believing being an amateur champion in Connecticut is like being the biggest piece of s***t in a toilet bowl full of turds. Wanting to prove himself, Abruzzi promised to beat his opponent Rob Impact in record time in an effort to show up Loomis.
Despite a hard fought effort from Rob Impact, Abruzzi finally was able to defeat him just a minute shy of beating Davey's record in a solid showing. A cocky Loomis returned to the ring for a handshake, but The Italian Body Squad (Abruzzi & Andrews) attacked Loomis to a pulp until a revived Impact made the save.
The next Match saw Evan "Hawkeye" Hunter take on "The Immortal" Zack Static. The Dedham crowd took to the Hillbilly immeadiately, making "The Immortal" one angry Highlander. In a back and forth match between the NCW newcomers, Static picked up the win proving their can only be one.
In a match of mysterious masked men, the returning fan favorite The Wisconsin Badger battled The Saint in an epic battle featuring pretzels, ass biting, and a whole lot of dancing. The winner of this Match was the fans! (and The Badger, who beat him with his patented Badger-Splash).
In the NCW Tag Team Title Invitational, the brothers Tim Kilgore & "The Ladies Man" MTE took on Afterburn, Generation SLAM (Tim Pittman & Jon Thornhill, w/ Amber), and The Maine State Posse (Alex Chamberlin & Scotty Vegas) with Elimination Rules. Afterburn where eliminated first after Tim Kilgore outsmarted them. Tim Pittman once again got one up on MTE finishing off The Tootsie Brothers evening with a double Tsunami Bomb (senton bomb) for the pin and elimination. A fresh Chamberlin & Vegas took it to Pittman immeadiately, cutting him off from partner Thornhill. After a tremendous tag Thornhill launched into a vicious attack, forcing Vegas to tap out to one of the biggest reactions in NCW history. New NCW Tag Team Champions Generation SLAM!
"The Pinnacle" Paul Lombardi defeated the debuting Kelly Valentine in a short but effective Match. Without even prompting the crowd Lombardi became on of the most hated men in NCW, with the crowd begging for Valentine to kick Lombardi's ass. Unfortunately the smartest man in New England wrestling found another way to pick up a strong victory for himself at NO FEAR.
Before the 1st half of the double Main Event, Derik Destiny arrived as a changed man. The loveable "School Boy" was no more, promising to bring back The Old School to wrestling. Bitter over the lack of support and calls he recieved, Destiny retold his tale of being mauled by a vicious Badger in the Wisonsin Woods. With no telephone calls, e-mails, instant messages, faxes, or singing telegrams, Destiny felt betrayed by his so called friends.
Challenging "The Portguese Sensation" for the NCW Heavyweight Title, Destiny brought it old school style, trying to wear down Batello. After a long near fall following a second rope fistdrop, Ruy rebounded finishing off Destiny with "Ruination". Paul Lombardi then rushed the ring (Lombardi wrestled against Batello at the last NCW event in April) and began helping Destiny beat down on Batello. As Ruy began holding his own, the man once known as The Beast ran down into the ring, and viciously splashed Ruy Batello who was trapped in the corner by Lombardi & Destiny. Calling himself "Textbook" Dean Tatum, the three men raised their hands, proclaiming themselves The Original Kings Of Old School.
In the evening's Main Event, "Hotstuff" Paul Hudson defended his NCW New England Title against Doug Summers in Doug's first opportunity at singles gold since debuting two years ago. With a 104 temprature, Hudson still gave 110% in one of NCW's most emotional Matches ever. After about 15 minutes of solid back and forth action, Hudson missed a big splash giving Doug the chance to nail his "Beautiful Disaster" knee crusher for the duke, winning the NCW New England Title. An emotional win for Summers, Tim Pittman & Jon Thornhill returned to the ring to celebrate with Doug, and in a classy move the new Tag Team Champions went back through the curtain bringing out the Heavyweight Champion Ruy Batello for the celebration. Still sore from his beating from TOKOOS, the NCW Heavyweight, New England, and Tag Team Champions stood tall capping off a truly memorable evening for NCW.
Matches Announced for October 8th; Upcoming dates TBA?
By Bud "The Man" Shurwalter; 10/4/05
October 8th is less than a week away, and yet not much is still known about NCW's debut in Dedham. The NCW Championship
Committee has worked very hard on keeping things quiet, in hopes of delivering a standout event for the fans at the Dedham
VFW Post. Rumors have run rampant regarding Ruy Batello's NCW Heavyweight Title Match at NO FEAR,
as Batello offered an open contract to anyone on the NCW roster for a Title opportunity. TheNCWOnline.net has learned
that Northeast stalwart Derik Destiny has signed the contract to face Batello at NO FEAR, a surprise considering Destiny's
fan friendly, easy going personality. Nonetheless the competitive Heavyweight Champion has publicly stated he looks forward to
the Match taking on all comers.
Doug Summers gets his New England Title opportunity October 8th against the Champion "Hotstuff" Paul Hudson, with this being Summers' first singles Title Match since debuting on the local scene two years ago. "The Local Guy" is antsy about his return showdown with Hudson (Summers debuted against Hudson back in February at NCW's Reunion), going as far as challenging him any time, any place, even willing to go straight to "Hotstuff" in his hometown of Portland, ME. This should be an intense encounter, with both men pulling out all the stops.
In addition to the NCW Title and NCW NEw England Title Matches, as well as the secretive NCW Tag Team Title Invitational, we've also learned that NCW will be welcoming the return of former three time NCW Champion Pacifico, who hasn't been seen in NCW since 2001. Others slated to be in action October 8th will be the returning Osirus, who made a tremendous impact at The Big City Rumble against Triplelicious, the vicious Michael Sain, the wildly popular Wisconsin Badger, as well as many more.
NCW has promised that things won't die down following the 8th, with two more potential dates being lined up for November and December. There is a good chance these dates will be announced this Saturday night at NO FEAR with NCW's spectacular Silence the Violence.

Who Will Be The Next NCW President?
By Bud "The Man" Shurwalter; 9/18/05

The 2005 NCW Presidential Election has been heating up here on TheNCWOnline.net since the
polls opened back in August, giving the fans a unique opportunity to vote for the new NCW
President in the wake of Commissioner Richmond Black's resignation. Despite recent
accusations from rival Tim Pittman stating that he may not be "The Ladies Man" we all
thought, MTE has held a steady lead with his strongest competition coming from former
NCW Tag Team Champion Mike Paiva who retired from the ring back at NCW's Reunion. Trailing
in a distant third is former Commissioner and NCW founder JC Marxxx, who's been shocked by
his lack of support during his campaign.
Other candidates include former NCW senior official Adam "Frigidare" LeClair, as well as the former UCW (Unified Championship Wrestling) Commissioner Sonny D. Fans in Dedham will get the chance to cast their own ballot in this race, with special polls being opened October 8th at NO FEAR. Following the event polling will continue online until midnight, with the official winner being announced at NCW's November event.
2005 Big City Rumble Report
By Bud "The Man" Shurwalter; 4/15/05
Northeast Championship Wrestling returned to the West Warwick Elk's Lodge with a rukkus on April 9th, presenting the 2005 Big City Rumble. In the weeks leading up to the event many rumors began to circulate about whether the show would happen as planned, or happen at all.
For their own reasons, another local promotion in the area took it upon themselves to try and shut down the NCW event, going as far as to bully talent into not appearing and flat out lying to everyone within air shot. "Bad Boy" Billy Black, who won the NCW New England Title at NCW Reunion decided to not appear at the event, and forfeited the Title due to the circumstances. NCW would like to wish Billy Black the best in the twilight of his career.
The show featured many new faces for NCW as well as some familiar, capped off by a Big City Rumble that will never be forgotten and had to have been seen to be believed.
The show kicked off when "local guy" Doug Summers took on the debuting
Nocturne. Unfortunately the crowd immeadiately turned on Nocturne after
replacement ring announcer Steven Weiner announced the Crystal Lake, NJ
native Nortock. After shaking off the "Nortock" chants Nocturne took Summers
to the limit, never letting up. In the end Doug was able to reverse out
of a Death Valley Driver hitting his knee crusher for the pin in a tough
match.
In tag team action the team of The Immortals (Zack Static & Kristian Frost) took on the young duo of PC Carmichael and Ray Diamond, Afterburn. The underdogs put up a good fight against The Immortals but in the end there can only be one as Zack Static and Kristian Frost stole a victory when they pinned PC Carmichael while holding his feet down from the outside.
Former NCW Heavyweight Champion "The Revolution" Chris Venom made his way out to ringside unexpectedly, accompanied by a man he knows very well in former New England Champion Michael Sain. After Venom ran down the rowdy crowd he revealed that he had created an NCW Hit List, and with the help of Michael Sain would eliminate everyone on his list en route to regaining the NCW Championship. Sain's opponent for the evening Rob Impact then came out, and despite a brief flurry of offense the cagey Sain was able to finish off the rookie with his "Straighjacket".
The next match featured the man from Land O' Lakes Valley, "Buttery" Bert Williams battling Thorn, who hasn't made an NCW appearance in over four years. In a close match, Williams was able to get the win over Thornn.
"The Ladies Man" MTE arrived next along with his brother Tim Kilgore, apparently furious over the fact that Tim Pittman had been welcomed into NCW with open arms, calling him a glorified "Superfan". He challenged Pittman to a posedown, so MTE could show off his new blonde locks which he had dyed to score with 80's metal chicks. The crowd ended up choosing Pittman as their favorite, only infuriating MTE further. He called for Kilgore to get a referee, challenging Pittman to a wrestling contest. As Pittman nailed a stiff mongolian chop on MTE he went to pull him into a headlock only to rip off what was a platinum blonde wig, showcasing a head shaved "Ladies Man". One Polish Hammer and Senton Bomb later MTE was uphanded once again by Tim Pittman.
Following intermission Tim Kilgore returned to the ring for his match with the returning Cameron Matthews. The crowd was shockingly pro-Kilgore, an unusual occasion for the former NCW Heavyweight Champion. After a match filled with planchas and headlocks, Kilgore was able to reverse Matthews'sunset flip into an inverted pedigree for the win.

The first half of the night's double Main Event featured the NCW Heavyweight Champion "The Portguese Sensation" Ruy Batello defending against "The Pinnacle" Paul Lombardi. The Syracuse native gave Ruy a intense wrestling match, outwrestling Batello and trying to wear the big man down. The crowd was solidly behind Batello however, and in the end Ruy was able to finish Lombardi off with "Ruination" to retain the Title.
To cap off the evening was the 2005 Big City Rumble, which will go down as one of the most chaotic Rumbles in NCW history. The order of entry was as followed...
1. Doug "FN" Summers
2. Cenobite
3. The Wisconsin Badger
4. Rob Impact
5. Timmy Right
6. Zack Static
7. "Buttery" Bert Williams
8. Jon Thornhill
9. Joey Grunge
10. Cameron Matthews
11. Michael Sain
12. Dave Wilcox
13. The Wisconsin Beaver
14. "The Revolution" Chris Venom
15. Triplelicious
16. Davey Loomis
17. "Hotstuff" Paul Hudson
18. Rocco Abruzzi
19. Nocturne
20. Thornn
21. Kristian Frost
22. The Wisconsin Beatbox
23. Tim Kilgore
24. Tim Pittman
25. Maniacal Mark
26. "The Ladies Man" MTE
In the end the final four where Triplelicious, Joey Grunge, Hudson, and "The Revolution" with the former NCW Champion Venom lastly eliminating Grunge to win the 2005 Big City Rumble, earning himself a Title Match against Ruy Batello.
